Senior Quantity Surveyor

One of Northern Ireland's leading construction firms currently has an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team. This privately owned company has been involved in some of the largest and most prestigious projects across the UK and Ireland, for both public and private sector clients. Due to an increase in workload and expansion into new markets a position has become available for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their organisation.



Role:



You will have a third level qualification in Quantity Surveying and have at least 10 years experience on large-scale build projects for a main contractor. Working as part of a team you will be responsible for the cost management on projects up to £40m across the UK. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be flexible to travel to the UK on a weekly basis.



Duties & Responsibilities:



· Processing sub contractor payments and monitoring variations in costing.

· Input & maintenance of a contract cost reporting system that can effectively manage the financial status of the project.

· Ensure interface between supply chain & other disciplines to enable timely input of cost information in order to produce reports as required

· Monitor labour, plant & other cost allocations.

· Input into the application and credit control processes

· Producing and completing periodic cost forecasting.

· Understanding of project risk.

· Working knowledge of various standard forms of contract

· Knowledge of labour costs, employment legislation & working rule agreement.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Prioritise workload and be able to work to tight deadlines.

· Work as part of a team but also be able to work without direct supervision.
