Graduate Technology Consultant

Hewlett Packard Technology Services is searching for a Graduate Technology Consultant with a recent Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration or Computer Science.



As a Technology Consultant you will regularly visit clients and will be responsible for the image of HP with our customers. You will have to follow up on agreements and build a relationship based on trust and great cooperation. You will keep yourself informed on the latest developments in your area of expertise and will be active in sharing your knowledge and experience, contributing to HP’s solution portfolio. Regular visits on a client location will increase your knowledge about the various areas of different organizations. When business opportunities arise for HP you will be able to share this knowledge with the department(s) who can play a significant role.



In the beginning HP offers various trainings to increase your (technical) knowledge and awareness of products portfolio or issues you will deal with at client site. I t will be important that you enjoy to travel to various locations across country or even worldwide! The majority of the customers are located in the ‘Randstad’.



Technology Consultant Responsibilities:



When hardware is sold to our customer, as a technology consultant:

• you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a good relationship with large customer(s);


• you will deliver technical support and will show leadership in delivering technical solutions;


• you will mainly work on the backside of the IT landscape and manage the path of migration, installation and implementation;


• you will coach the Advisor and technicians during the migration stage;


• you will leave the technical tasks to the technicians;


• you will manage the successful delivery during the ‘delivery cycle’ of a project;


• you can set boundaries for configuration and Test activities, assist in the preparation of technical presentations and demonstrations and you will take part in client meetings. Senior colleagues will be coaching you and supporting you;


• you will learn about the wide spectrum of HP technology and get to know various requirements of customers. You will start researching, designing and create documentation and will create designs for specific parts of architecture to support the Solution Architect.

Beside that on the long term you will team up for client solutions, while at the start you will execute activities in one specialization. In about 1,5 year you will be able to manage a project completely on your own and you will be expected to develop areas of expertise and make sure on the long term to be able to manage multiple types of projects.



QUALIFICATIONS:



Qualifications:

• At least a Bachelor's degree in IT/technical field of study or Business Administration with focus on hardware


• Extracurricular activities as must have to show you enjoy taking initiatives and have an interest in both social activities;


• Good analytical and conceptual skills are absolutely necessary to map the customer situation;


• Communicative skills are mandatory to understand the message of the customer, as well as bringing across this message and the solution at different levels;


• Written and verbal fluency in both German and English are required;


• Capability of building a network and maintaining it ;


• Interest in Finance and ability to build a business case or an ROI driven project plan.


• Annual salary: minimum € 30 000 all-in, depending on your qualifications and experience, in addition considerable benefits
