Java Developer - Belfast - Up to £38k
Developer required in Belfast with at least 18 months commercial experience working with Java.
Technical Skills
o High performance SQL and RDBMS design (Oracle 10/11g and or IBM Informix)
o Enterprise Java (JAX-WS, JDBC, EJB3, JMS)
o C99 in a Unix environment
o Design and development of high performance code in Java and C99 in a multi-core environment
o Experience of IBM WebSphere Application Server and/or SAP NetWeaver Web AS
o PL/SQL
o Ability to develop code from a Functional or Technical Specification document
o Knowledge of using PVCS for code configuration management.
Key Responsiblities
* Develop code and test
* Use PVCS for code configuration management
* Manage customer technical queries
* Handle change control to Company quality standards
* Provide input into the estimation process
* Carries out any other duties that may reasonably be required from time to time
* Develop project documentation where applicable
⢠Maintain strong contacts with technical and managerial staff associated with the project
⢠Contribute to team management by taking a leading role in team and company activities, in particular taking a leading role in technical initiatives.
⢠Ability to develop code from a Functional or Technical Specification document
⢠Experience of development within an ISO 9001 compliant environment
