Procurement Business Partner

A central government organisation is currently recruiting for a Procurement Business Partner to join the procurement team on a permanent basis. The purpose of this job will be to establish and develop a professional and customer focused Procurement service that offers efficiency, value and ease of use and which is expert in sourcing, buying and managing suppliers.



In this role, you will provide a professional and high quality Procurement business support function to the various stakeholders by fostering a positive working relationship with business areas, ensuring advice and support is outcome focused and working with project teams to ensure delivery of procurement actions and projects. You will be a key part of developing commercial relationships with key suppliers, negotiating on behalf of the organisation to secure best value for money on a range of complex procurement projects. You will also be required to provide assurance on corporate governance issues relating to procurement and establish or renew framework agreements for produces and services as required.



In order for your application to be successful, you must be experienced in running structured tender exercises for products and services, evaluating bidders financial stability appraisals and implementing change, innovation and continuous improvement. You must be adept at influencing others, high level negotiations and be able to manage complex and delicate situations. You must also have an excellent understanding of project management, Framework Agreements, call off contracts and intellectual property rights.
