Financial Accountant

The key challenges for the post will be the necessity to complete financial reports and returns within strict and often tight deadlines establishment, dealing with change and its effects on staff and on systems and procedures. The key responsibilities will be;



· To manage the financial accounting activities of the organisation and be responsible for financial returns including the statutory accounts and VAT returns.

· To independently provide specialist financial accounting support and advice based on considerable depth of knowledge, skills, experience and expertise.

· To lead a small financial accounting team

· To oversee and manage work of the financial accounting team, incorporating payroll and expenditure activities, providing coaching and support as required

· Be involved in resource planning and organisation



You will be CCAB/CIMA Qualified with a minimum of 3 years experience in preparing and/or auditing financial accounts. It is essential you have a good understanding of all accounting standards, VAT and reporting requirements. Your approach will be highly positive and proactive and possess strong communication skills and able to manage a small team.
