EMEA Network Operations Engineer

Chester, United Kingdom, GB - Telecommunications

Prestigious opportunity with a pioneering Financial Services giant for an experienced Network Support Engineer for our Global Network Infrastructure Solutions team. As EMEA Network Operations Engineer you will be responsible for analysing and managing complex production issues in addition to:-



- Resolution and escalation of network issues

- Managing day to day performance of vendors against SLAs

- Focussing on infrastructure stability, change management and improvement



the successful EMEA Network Operations Engineer will possess a proven track record in 2nd line network support in addition to a combination of the following skills:-



- Strong all round IP, LAN, WAN Cisco routing and switching to CCNA or CCNP

- Troubleshooting skills in Multicast is advantageous

- Good understanding of Firewalls

- Knowledge of network services (DNS, DHCP, Proxies, WideIP or loadbalancers)

- Large organisation background and familiarity with ITIL
