Policy Analyst / Policy Officer (9 month fixed term contract)

Professional Membership organisation are recruiting for a Policy Analyst (Policy Officer) to join their Central London based organisation on a 9 month fixed term contract.



Reporting into the Head of the Policy Unit, the Policy Analyst will develop, influence and deliver the organisation's policy agenda. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders in the development of new and the revision of old policy. You will support the work of the organisation by applying analytical skills and policy expertise in drafting well evidenced responses to formal external consultations, in liaison with appropriate technical specialists. In addition you will undertake policy research and analysis using academic, legal and public databases.



The successful candidate will be graduate calibre or equivalent with a strong background in mental health, health and social care or public policy. You will have a proven ability to assimilate large, complex documents and precis them for a wide range of audiences. You will be a self-starter who can contribute to a team whilst also working on your on own initiative and managing your own workload and multiple deadlines, with minimal supervision.



This role is a 9 month fixed term contract to start as soon as possible following interviews in mid March.
