Security Vetting Coordinator

The CSC UK Vetting Coordinator will report to the UK Security Services Manager via the Deputy List X Security Controller (Vetting)
and will act as a support Administrator in conjunction with the CSC UK Vetting Team.
Overall Role Purpose
- Supply administration support to the CSC Vetting/HMG Security Clearance processes
- To coordinate and undertake administration tasks as and when required by the CSC UK SRM Team
Main Responsibilities
- All administration duties around the CSC and HMG security clearance processes
- Interaction with interdependencies i.e. other CSC security organizations, security managers, delivery teams, candidates, clients,
admin teams, ESC, external List X Security Controllers, Labour Accounts, etc.
- Building and maintaining a strong working relationship with client security vetting teams
- Confirmation of clearance / non-clearance
- Follow-up procedures for security clearance renewals and expiries
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Provide administrative support in all vetting areas including:
- Supporting inbound and outbound vetting helpdesk calls and emails; taking ownership of each query and pursue to resolution within
agreed SLA’s.
- Confirmation of clearance / non-clearance
- Follow-up procedures for security clearance renewals and expiries
- Leavers process/Official Secrets Act/record deletion etc
- Undertaking various administrative activities that would be specific to individual accounts.
- Updating the vetting applications database as required.
- Producing ad hoc reporting as and when required. Re-vet reports etc
- Administration duties supporting CSC and HMG security clearance processes
- Keep security trackers and databases accurately up to date
- Typing out meeting minutes
- Handling the post
- Assist with file cleansing/shredding
- Taking and producing minutes of meetings
- Arrange facility requirements when needed
- To work as part of the vetting team to achieve targets and goals
- Be pro-active in recommending improvements in the current administration processes and procedures and working in conjunction
with the vetting team to implement any changes which are identified or introduced
- Building and maintaining a strong working relationship with client security vetting teams
