This major Federal Government Department has an opening for an APS5/6 Internal Communications Officer to undertake a non-ongoing contract until the end of July.

You will provide strategic communication advice and services to portfolio stakeholders, ministers, and department divisions. You will have a broad range of skills and experience across communications in the APS, and have strong leadership and management skills.

You will develop and implement communications strategies, build and sustain internal and external stakeholder relationships, and possess strong negotiation skills with an emphasis on reaching mutually beneficial outcomes.

You will write and edit communication material for a wide range of audiences and will be adept at writing for various mediums. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and take a proactive approach to teamwork, happy to assist with various teams wherever needed to provide support to the branch as a whole.

Previous experience with the Australian Federal Government is compulsory, as is a Baseline security clearance.
