The role of Group Channels Retail Release Manager will be a key position within the Group Technology, Strategy and Operations, Consumer IT Delivery team in Newbury and London (UK).
As Group Channels Retail Release Manager your main responsibilities will involve:
• Accountable for working with the Retail factory lead to develop and embedding a structured release process that delivery projects will adhere to, thus enabling a timetable for local market rollout.
• Accountable for each scheduled release, managing plan/dependencies across projects to ensure successful deployment with minimum market impact.
• Accountable for scheduling and planning the delivery Retail IT Releases with the local market IT teams.
• Accountable for delivery of Group Retail IT technical integration with the local market systems and all delivery support services for the release.
• Own the E2E process and accountabilities that govern market go lives (using the standard gated processes).
As Group Channels Retail Release Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
• Excellent stakeholder management skills for influencing/managing relationships with local markets at senior leadership team level and enabling market deployment
• Proven project management skills to manage the market release planning.
• Subject matter expertise in Retail IT systems (e.g. online & mobile) – plus Retail commercial acumen desirable.
• Solid experience in vendor management, to hold to account/support delivery partners.
• Recognised Project Management qualifications (e.g. Prince2).
• Bachelor’s degree in related technical/business field
