Python Developers - DS Clearance - Django - Agile - SQL

A nationally recognised public sector organisation are seeking to recruit a team of Python Developers: to aid the development, testing and deployment of Python web based digital products throughout the organisation.

Ideally you will hold BPSS or DS clearance although non BPSS/ DS candidates will still be considered.

My client requires a team of Python Developers as well as a team of Senior Python Developers to use an Agile and Test Driven approach to the development, testing and deployment of Python web based digital products.

Skills & Experience Required:
⢠Extensive experience working as a Python Developer
⢠Experience with MVC Web Frameworks (Flask, Django, etc.)
⢠Experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, etc...), Experience with Test Driven (TDD) and Behavioural Driven (BDD) development techniques
⢠Demonstrable knowledge of software design patterns and best practices (SOA, Micro Services, DRY, etc...)
⢠Experience leading and mentoring other team members
⢠Experience working within a Continuous Integration environment (Peer review, Merge Requests, CI Setup, etc...) and RESTful services, Test Automation Tools (Like Selenium)
⢠Experience with version control systems (Git, Mecurial, Svn, TFS, etc...)
⢠Experience with Postgres and/or SQL Server databases
⢠Good working knowledge of Linux (ideally Ubuntu or other Debian based distribution)

Additional beneficial (but not essential) skills and/or experiences are:
⢠Knowledge of the Government (Gov.UK) design manual and service standard
⢠Disclosure Scotland clearance in place
⢠Experience with Vagrant
⢠Demonstrable knowledge of SOLID principles
⢠Scrum Master Certification
⢠Ability to lead in Agile ceremonies
⢠Exposure to TOGAF ADM
⢠Exposure to Microsoft .NET

This role will require DS clearance although non DS security cleared candidates will also be considered but must be able to obtain this level of clearance.
